Lars was born in 1872.  Lars' father was Tollak Larsen Rom and his mother was Gunhild Regine Rom (Oftebro).  His maternal grandparents were Tobias Oftebro and <Unknown>. He had a brother named Tobias.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 76 in 1948.
