Rothilde of was born about 0825.¹ Rothilde of 's father was Louis i Carolingien of Germany Carolingien of the HOLY ROMAN RMPIRE and her mother was Countess Ermengarde De La Tour-Alsace TOURS. Her paternal grandparents were Lothaire Carolingian (the Pious) AQUITAINE and Princess Ermengarde De HESBAYE. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Louis (Ludwig) II of, Lothaire II , Irmengarde Carolingian and Rotrude . She was the second oldest of the five children.¹
