George was born in 1892.1  George's father was John Richard HUGHES and his mother was Alice Bethania WIBER.  His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Eden HUGHES and Sarah Judson REEVE. He had two brothers named Alexandra and Charles.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 67 in 1959.2
