Charles was born in 1894.1  Charles' father was John Richard HUGHES and his mother was Alice Bethania WIBER.  His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Eden HUGHES and Sarah Judson REEVE. He had two brothers named Alexandra and George.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 69 in 1963.2
