Charles was born in 1859.1  Charles' father was Nathaniel Eden HUGHES and his mother was Sarah Judson REEVE.  His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Edward Weston REEVES and Sarah Judson SEATON. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Edward, George, John, Frederick, Alexander, Arthur, Thomas, Elizabeth, Emma, Sarah, Caroline, Alice, Isabella and Unknown.  He was the second oldest of the fifteen children.  He died at the age of 55 in 1914.2
