Alexander was born in 1868.1  Alexander's father was Nathaniel Eden HUGHES and his mother was Sarah Judson REEVE.  His paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Edward Weston REEVES and Sarah Judson SEATON. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Charles, Edward, George, John, Frederick, Arthur, Thomas, Elizabeth, Emma, Sarah, Caroline, Alice, Isabella and Unknown.  He was the nineth oldest of the fifteen children.  He died at the age of 1 in 1869.1
