Myrtle was born in 1915. Myrtle's father was Ardell Jason BRIEN and her mother was Edith WICKHAM.  Her maternal grandparents were Henry WICKHAM and Elizabeth Adelaide HUGHES. She had two brothers and a sister, named Alan, Cyril and Ida.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
