Warner B Wynne

• General Notes
  • The only information I have on Warner Winn is that he was born 21 Mar
    1815. He claimed he was born in Washington County, Indiana.  He had one
    
    
    
    
    
    
    brother and
    four sisters.  He married Catherine Colglazier on 24 Oct 1842 in Salem,
    
    
    
    
    
    
    Washington County, Indiana.  When she died he took his family and moved
    
    
    
    
    
    
    to Iowa. He is listed in the Washington County Indiana Guardianship
    Books in 1829.  The Guardianships lists a John Winn, heir of Isaac Winn
    
    
    
    
    
    
    in the same year.   There was an Isaac Winn who married a Catherine Kelly
    in about 1811 in a nearby county in Indiana.  Warners sister was living
    
    
    
    
    
    
    with a Kelly family in a later Census.

    George Davis who told us his ancestors were close to Warner Wynn,
    neighbors in Fayette Co PA and served in 1812 together...    and we
    couldn't find verification of all those eight Davis brothers serving in
    
    
    
    
    
    
    the Fayette Co PA militia...   well,  most of them seem to be listed
    in the 1812 roster of Franklin co IN.  Looks like George was right about
    service together in 1812,  just that the lads enlisted farther west than

    and State of Ohio being in perfect health of bodyand of sound mind and

    whereon they both now live it being in section two---and east of the
    meridian (the description is very difficult to read of the exact location
    of land) I do appoint Alexander Truid to be my sole executor ofthis my
    last will and revoking all other wills heretofore made ratifying and
    confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in
    testimonywhereon I Warner Wynn have to this will consisting on this
    sheet of paper and put my hand at the bottom the 13 day of April eight
