Emma Leona McCotter was born on September 9th, 1879 in Craven Co. NC.1   Emma Leona McCotter's father was John C. Muse and her mother was Susan A McCotter.  Her paternal grandmother was Mary F Muse ?; her maternal grandparents were John Richard McCotter and Sarah Ann Jones. She had a sister named Anna.  She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-sister named Emma Leona.  She died at the age of 92 on October 24th, 1971 in Craven Co. NC.2
