John McCotter

John was born about 1913 in Virginia.¹ John's father was John E. McCotter and his mother was Elizabeth Aurelia "Reelie" Bunch. His paternal grandparents were Alpheus F McCotter and Corresann "Clara" Powell; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Carroll Bunch and Elizabeth M Hobbs. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Alphens F., Alpheus, Raymond, Harry, Donnie, Guynen, Inez and Doris. He is the eighth oldest of the nine children.
