Male Philip Greenwell

Philip was born in 1783 in St. Mary's Co., MD.1   Philip's father was Thomas Greenwell and his mother was Eleanor Abell.  His paternal grandfather was Philip Greenwell and his paternal grandmother is Mary Manning Greenwell; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Abell and O'Bryam. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Lewis, William Frances, Thomas James, Able Simond, Joseph Kirkley, Alathea and Elizabeth Swan.  He was the oldest of the nine children. He had four half-brothers named Joseph Kirkley, Hezekiah, Samuel and Vincent S.  He died at the age of 38 in 1821 in St. Mary's Co., MD.2
