Frank was born in 1843 in St. Mary's Co., MD.¹ Frank's father was George W W Greenwell and his mother was Elizabeth H. Dorsey. His paternal grandfather was William Greenwell. He had two brothers named John J. and George Lewis. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 42 on January 25th, 1885 in St. Mary's Co., MD.²
