Samuel was born in 1650 in St Marys, St Mary's, Maryland, United States.1   Samuel's father was Robert Abell and his mother was Joannah Abell?.  His paternal grandparents were George Abell Esquire and Frances DeCotton. He had nine brothers and three sisters, named Abraham, Lieut Preserved or James Preserved, Richard, Caleb, John, Joshua, Samuel, Benjamin, James, Mary, Experience and Mary.  He died at the age of 46 on January 8th, 1696 in St Marys Co, MD.2
