Samuel was born about 1650 in St. Mary's Co., MD.1   Samuel's father was Robert Abell and his mother was Joannah Abell?.  His paternal grandparents were George Abell Esquire and Frances DeCotton. He had nine brothers and three sisters, named Abraham, Lieut Preserved or James Preserved, Richard, Caleb, John, Joshua, Samuel, Benjamin, James, Mary, Experience and Mary.  He died on January 8th, 1698 in St Marys, St Mary's, Maryland, USA.2
