Leonarda Piranio

Leonarda was born on March 15th, 1887 in Corleone, Palermo, ITL, USA. Leonarda's father was Leo Lucas Piranio and her mother was Rosalia Scoma. Her paternal grandparents were Guiseppe Piranio and Leonarda Bagarella. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph John, Samuel Luke, Lucy, Mary and Jennie. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 64 on September 18th, 1951 in Patterson, St. Mary, LA, USA. She was buried in September 1951 in Patterson, St. Mary, LA, USA.

General Notes
- !Came to US with her daddy when she was 14 years old according to his VISA from
  Italy. Her children (Lucy, Frances, Carrie, Leo, Luke, Mike, Rosie, Jake &
  Mary) indicated she was born in 1888 and not in 1887 as the tombstone
  indicates. At some point in time she became known as "Nidra" or similar
  spelling and was not called by anyone in the family as Leonarda.
