    1) Donna Baker shows an additional child - "Hans John aka George Wafel" [sic], but he is not son of Emanuel, he is thought to be son of Johannes, which is how I have placed him.
    2) Cindy Abbott's Warfel Tree: "Emanuel was listed in the 1830 Henderson, Huntingdon Co., PA Census as Emanuel Warfield. They moved to Lawrence Co. (not known when) until 1860 then by oxcart to Missouri. In June of 1870, Emanuel was living with his son Adam Warfel and his family in Salem, Dent Co. MO. Emanuel spoke only German."
    3) "Ozark Heritage", v.III, 2d ed.; Ken Fiebelman, 1994; Turner Pub. Co., Paducah, KY; ISBN 9640325-0-3; LCCN 94-70114
    p. 538, "Miner Cem., Doss Community, south of Salem, Dent Co., MO; ...came to Dent Co. c1865 by oxcarts. Emanuel "Immanuel" was *sis [sic] to Sarah E. Warfel of PA - her only heir."
    *Note, D. Sweet - It would seem that this should say either one of two things:
    Either:  a. That Emanuel was father to Sarah E., whose full name is Sarah Elizabeth "Sadie." I don't know whether Sarah, who is given as living in Gettysburg, left no other heirs, but so far none of the info I have shows a sister named Sarah E. for Emanuel.
    Or: b. That Emanuel was the husband of Sarah E. nee Shade, who did die in PA before Emanuel went west.
    4) I question the place of birth given for Emanuel. I cannot find a Huntington in Luzerne Co. It is possible that what was given me was a typo? It would seem that it should read "Huntingdon" as in Huntingdon Co., where my Warfel line ended up before moving to Missouri.
    The family is not on the 1790 census for Rapho, Huntingdon Co., PA, where just about all of Emanuel's siblings and half-siblings are given as being born. I am surveying every county and township on the 1790 PA census, so expect I will find them eventually, although it is, of course, slow going.
