Daniel G. Walker and Mary Jane Suber were married in Botetourt County Virgina after paying to the state of Virgina $150. Two days later they left for missouri traveling in a buggy. After 77 days of travel they arrived in Macon county Missiouri on Feb 17, 1839. In 1840 they settled in Eagle Township, Macon country.

Daniel was killed by a run away oxen team. He was buried in the Suber family cemetery.

On 29 July 1986 Sharon Jane Warfel Sanders, Merrill Sanders and Wendell Walker found the Suber family cemetery and the head stones of Daniel G Walker and other Subers. We traveled east on Macoun county road DD until we crossed the middle fork of the Salt river then immeidately turned left on to a private gravel road. We continued until we were the yard of the house at the end of this road. The cemetry was in the middle of a field just to the east. The animals grazing in this field had not eaten the plants in and round the head stones so it was easy to spot the area. There were numerous head stones and all were down. Turning them over, we finally found both Daniels (died at the age of 60 years 3 months and 2 days) and Nancy Suber wife of Jacob Surber(parents of Mary Jane Suber).
