Egle's Notes & Queries: James Walker was born in Scotland and went with his father to northern Ireland. He took part in the seige of Londonderry. He married, but his wife's name is unknown.

[Charlou Dolan: The information for this family (other than the deeds & will I have added for Henry Walker) comes from EGLE'S NOTES & QUERIES. There is no source given for most of the information, so it may or may not be accurate. More than likely, most of it was assumed to be true with little or no evidence, and undoubtedly riddled with errors. I myself suspect that the so-called relationship in many cases was based solely on proximity, i.e. two Walkers are in the same area at the same time, ergo they must be brothers. It is convenient, however, to start with Egle's rendition of the family tree, and handle it as one would any other "family story" as such stories can sometimes provide clues. I am doing my best to find verification for as much of it as possible, and have found some for the later generations. The earlier generations should NOT be accepted as accurate.]
