Henry was born in 1535 in East Harptree, , Somerset, England.1   Henry's father was John Newton and his mother was Margaret Poyntz.  His paternal grandfather was Richard Thomas Newton and his paternal grandmother is Margaret Thorpe.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 64 in 1599 in , , , England.1
