John was born in 1507 in Richmont,East Harptree,Somerset,England.1   John's father was Richard Thomas Newton and his mother is Margaret Thorpe.  His paternal grandfather is John Newton and his paternal grandmother was Isabel Cheddar. He had a half-sister named Isabel.  He died at the age of 61 in 1568 in East Harptree,,Somerset,England.1
