Rachel Dorothea van Blerk (Joubert) 
Rachel Dorothea was born on October 11th, 1891 in Cradock. Rachel Dorothea's father was Barend Johannes Vorster van Blerk and her mother was Alida Goudina Erasmus. Her paternal grandparents were Petrus Jacobus van Blerk and Magdalena Zacharia Vorster; her maternal grandparents were Philippus Lodwicus Erasmus and Elizabeth Hendrina (Erasmus). She had three brothers and a sister, named Phillipus Lodewicus, Jan Barend, Barend and Elizabeth Hendrina Merryfield. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 65 in 1956.-
