Maria was born in 1794 in Burston, Norfolk.  Maria's father was Samuel WOODROW and her mother was Elizabeth GIBBS.  Her paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Alice WOODROW. She had two brothers and four sisters, named James, Mark, Sarah, Susan, Phoebe and Rebekah.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
