James was born in 1796 in Burston, Norfolk.  James' father was Samuel WOODROW and his mother was Elizabeth GIBBS.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Alice WOODROW. He had a brother and five sisters, named Mark, Maria, Sarah, Susan, Phoebe and Rebekah.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 38 in 1834 in Burston, Norfolk.  He was buried on July 31st, 1834 in St Mary, Burston.
