Alfred Durdant was born in 1878.  Alfred Durdant's father was James Durdant PEAD and his mother was Eliza MONTIER.  His paternal grandparents were James Durdant PEAD and Elizabeth LOCKYER; his maternal grandparents were William MONTIER and Jane TOWLER. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James William, John Durdant, Robert Durdant, Eliza Jane, Flora Louisa and Maud Ann.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 60 in 1938 in Bethnal Green District.
