William was born in 1821 in Marden, Kent.  William's father was James LADUMS and his mother was Sarah.  His paternal grandparents were John LADAMS and Mary. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Sarah and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died in Hollingbourne District.
