Lydia was born in 1796 in Marden, Kent.  Lydia's father was John LADAMS and her mother was Mary.  Her paternal grandparents were William LADUMS and Anne. She had two brothers and four sisters, named William, James, Mary, Sarah, Jane and Eleanor.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
