Alexander was born in 1743 in Ulcombe, Kent.  Alexander's father was Alexander BONNY and his mother was Sarah ASHLEY.  His paternal grandparents were Matthew BONNY and Sarah MEDCALF. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Mary and Sarah.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers named Robert and Alexander.  He died at the age of 76 in 1819 in Sutton-Valence, Kent.  He was buried on October 10th, 1819 in Sutton-Valence, Kent.
