Mary was born on April 22nd, 1805 in Emanuel, Georgia.1   Mary's father was Mark Lott and her mother was Delilah Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were John Aaron Lott III and Sarah Sallie Lightfoot. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Joel, John, Mark, Elizabeth, Penelope, Sarah and Frances.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 50 in 1855 in Douglas, Coffee, Georgia.1
