Abram was born on August 4th, 1904 in Zasliai, Trakai, Lithuania. Abram's father was Jankel Girsh Levin and his mother was Sora Vrule Galper.  His paternal grandparents were David Levin and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Itsko Eliashov Galper and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Oscar, Simon, Alice and Shifra.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died from cancer at the age of 66 on June 28th, 1971 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
