Helen was born on April 18th, 1904 in Massachusetts.  Helen's father was Lawrence Burton Turpel and her mother was Annie Louise O'Connor.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander McKenzie Turpel and Agnes M. Hutt; her maternal grandparents were James Henry O'Connor and Honora Crowley. She had two brothers and two sisters, named James, Rudolph, Marguerite and Louise. She had an adopted brother named Joseph.  She died at the age of 62 on June 19th, 1966 in New Hampshire.
