Jemima Dow

Jemima was born on October 3rd, 1740 and her baptism took place on December 22nd, 1743. Jemima's father was Nathan Dow and her mother is Mary Flanders. Her paternal grandparents were John Dow and Dinah Severance; her maternal grandparents are John Flanders and Sarah. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Nathan, John, Sarah, Dinah, Mary and Judith. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 70 on April 28th, 1811 in Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine.

General Notes
- Nathan's choice to delay Jemima's baptism was likely due to his hopes that his wife would eventually become a Friend, with reconciliation with the family. Jemima came to Maine with her parents. Jemima and Stephen lived near Foster's Point, Maine by New Meadow River.
