Charles Hallet Dow

Charles was born on December 14th, 1846. Charles' father was Jonathan Haskell Dow and his mother was Sarah Haskell. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Saunders Dow and Elizabeth E. Haskell; his maternal grandparents are Jonathan Haskell and Nabby Hardy. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Nelson, George, Charlotte and Laura. He was the fourth oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 42 on December 17th, 1888 in Delaware Bay, Delaware.

- Charles died aboard his own ship. Charles and Isabella eventually moved to Camden, Maine.
