Charles Silvanus was born on February 23rd, 1869.  Charles Silvanus' father was Samuel Krieter and his mother was Catherine Paulus.  His maternal grandparents are Daniel Paulus and Mariah. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Newton Monrow, Henery Elmer, Thomas Danial, Jeremiah Alen, Samuel Oda, Lily Eta, Rose Anna, Mary Minetta and Esta Ellis.  He is the fifth oldest of the ten children.
