Anna M was born on December 8th, 1922 in Dorsey, Box Butte, Nebraska, USA.1   Anna M's father was William Derickson and her mother was Cecile M Throckmorton.  Her paternal grandparents are Samuel Derickson and Anna E; her maternal grandparents were William Elmer Throckmorton and Nettie May Beck. She has two brothers and four sisters, named William H, John A, Mildred, Vivian L, Norma Jean and Mabel J.  She is the fourth oldest of the seven children.
