William Jay

William was born on November 20th, 1826 in virginia. William's father was William Jay and his mother was Ann King. His paternal grandparents were William Jay and Lydia Gates. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, John, Benedict, Elizabeth, Lydia and Mary. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 35 on January 25th, 1862 in Westville, Clark County, Illinois.
