Martha was born in 1768 in , Randolph, Nc.  Martha's father was Seymour YORK and her mother was Sylvanus L. ALDRIDGE.  Her paternal grandfather was Jeremiah Jr YORK and her paternal grandmother is Jeremiah YORK. She had ten brothers and six sisters, named John, Jeremiah Sr (Of Semore), Isaac H, Shubel (Of Semore Sr), Semore Jr., Jabez, Jabez (Of Semore Sr), Jeremiah, Shubal, John, Sarah [John], Dorcas, Martha, Sarah, Dorcas and Tabitha.  She died at the age of 93 on December 21st, 1861.
