Hamo (Hamon) Le was born about 1144 in , Knockin, Shropshire, England.  Hamo (Hamon) Le's father was Roland Le STRANGE and his mother is Matilda Le BRUN.  His paternal grandfather was Guy Le STRANGE; his maternal grandfather was Ralph FitzHerlewin HUNSTANTON (BRUN) and his maternal grandmother is Helewisa De PLAIZ. He had three brothers named John Le, Guy Le and Ralph Le.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died in 1160.
