John was born in 1798 in Newlin, Chstr, Pa.  John's father was Charles RODEBACK and his mother was Phebe (Phoebe) TRYON.  His paternal grandfather is RODEBACK. He had four brothers and three sisters, named George, Charles, Tryon, Peter, Margaret, Phebe and Mary.  He died at the age of 67 on June 8th, 1865.  His burial was in Marlborough Cem, Chester Co, Penn.
