Margaret was born in 1784 in Gallia, Gallia, Ohio.  Margaret's father was John MCCARLEY and her mother was Martha CARR.  Her paternal grandfather was MCCARLEY; her maternal grandparents are Robert CARR and Sarah Jane SHIELDS. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named William, John, Samuel, Moses, John, Samuel, Elizabeth, Jane, Zibiah, Zebiah, Elizabeth, Margaret and Zebiah.  She died at the age of 55 in 1839.
