Irini Dukaina was born about 1199 in Of, Nicaea, Bursa, Turkey.  Irini Dukaina's father was Theodoros I, Emperor Of The BYZANTINE EMPIRE AND NICEA and her mother was Anna Komnene Angelina, Princess Of The BYZANTINE EMPIRE.  Her paternal grandparents are Manolis LASKARIS and Ioanna KARATZAINA (PHOKAINA). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Nikolaos, Ioannis, Maria and Eudoxia.  She died after 1239.
