Gilbert De was born about 1020 in Of, St Germain Mntgm, Normandy, France.  Gilbert De's father is Roger De MONTGOMERY and his mother is Josceline De PONTEAUDEMER.  His maternal grandmother is Senfrie (Sainfrie) De CREPON. He had four brothers named Hugh De, Robert De, William De and Roger De.  He was the fourth oldest of the five children.  He died about 1063.
