Matthew was born on July 5th, 1629 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England and her baptism took place on July 5th, 1629 in South Ouran, Yorks, Eng.  Matthew's father was Matthew MITCHELL and her mother was Sarah Or Susan BUTTERFIELD.  Her paternal grandparents are Thomas MITCHELL and Elizabeth CLAY; her maternal grandfather was Benjamin BUTTERFIELD and her maternal grandmother is Mrs Ann BUTTERFIELD. She had seven brothers and ten sisters, named David, Jonathan, Matthew, Jonathan, John, Nathan, Abraham, Dorothy, Abigail, David, Martha, Jonathan, Susannah, Hannah, Susanna, Elizabeth and Mary Sarah.  She died at 2 months old on October 4th, 1629 in England.
