Lawrence was born on March 21st, 1539 in Cherry Burton, Yorkshire, England, England and his baptism took place on March 21st, 1538 in Cherry Burton, York, Eng.  Lawrence's father was Robert LATHROP (LOWTHROP) and his mother was Ellen ASTON.  His paternal grandfather was John LOWTHROPPE and his paternal grandmother is Margaret WADE; his maternal grandparents are Thomas ASTON and Mrs. Thomas ASTON. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Thomas (Lowthroppe), Thomas, John, Robert, John, John, Elizabeth, Isabella and Margaret.  He died at the age of 63 on June 8th, 1602 in , Cherry Burton, Yorkshire, England.  His burial was on June 8th, 1602 in Cherry Burton, East Riding, Yorkshire, England.
