William was born about 1390 in Brereton, Cheshire, England.  William's father was William BRERETON and his mother is Angella (Anyll) VENABLES.  His paternal grandparents are William De BRERETON and Ellen EGERTON; his maternal grandparents are Hugh De VENABLES and Elizabeth MOBBERLY. He had a sister named Elizabeth (Eleanor).  He died before 1425.
