Arnoldus was born on September 30th, 1742 in Lubbeek and his baptism took place there on September 30th, 1742.  Arnoldus' father was Guilielmus  Ons and his mother was Maria De Ruijter.  His paternal grandparents were Adam Ons and Anna Vranckx. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Petrus, Joannes, Adriannus, Gregorius, Guilielmus , Anna Maria, Maria-Catharina and Anna Maria.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 71 on April 15th, 1814 in Lubbeek.
