Ann was born in year 1755 in Suffolk, Barrow and was baptised on January 29th, 1755.  Ann's father was William Death and her mother was Ann Bird.  Her maternal grandparents were  William Bird and  Ann.  She was the second of five children.  She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Elizabeth, Mary and Elizabeth.

William and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on October 3rd, 1780 in Suffolk, Stoke by Nayland.  They had a son named James.
