George was born in year 1840 in Marylebone, Middlesex. George's father was George Whitaker and his mother was Mary Ann King. His paternal grandparents were George Whitaker and Jane Langdon; his. He was the oldest of four children. He had three brothers named Thomas, John and Edwin. He died, at the age of 53 years, on April 22nd, 1893 in Brighton. His burial was in Nunhead.
