Mary was born on June 11th, 1758 in Stonham Aspall, Suffolk. Mary's father was Ruben Bridges and her mother was Rachel Sewel. Her paternal grandparents were William Bridges and Dinah; her. She was the third of six children. She had four brothers and a sister, named Samuel, Ruben, James, Samuel and Dinah.
