Eduards was born on July 14th, 1911.  Eduards' father was Miķelis Bezmers and his mother was Ilze Ertmane Bezmera.  His paternal grandparents were Jānis Bezmers and Līze Bezmera (Petrēvica). He had four brothers and three sisters, named Ādolfs, Kārlis, Jānis, Andrejs, Anna, Alma and Zelma .  He was the third youngest of the eight children.  He died from a heart attack at the age of 26 on July 8th, 1938 in Grobiņa.  The funeral took place in Grobiņas pagasta Limbiķu kapsētā.  His body was entombed in Grobiņas pagasta Limbiķu kapsētā.
