Katalin was born on February 2nd, 1799 in Vác.1  Katalin's father was Antal Drobny/Guóth and her mother was Katalin Farkass.  Her paternal grandparents were György Drobny and Katalin Zilinsky. She had two brothers and three sisters, named József, Károly, Anna, Teréz and Jozefa.  She was the third oldest of the six children. She had seven half-brothers and two half-sisters, named János, Ignác, Gábor, Antal, István, Gábor, Sándor, Bibianna and Rozália.
